What is julie spence?

Julie Spence is a retired British police officer who served as the Chief Constable of Cambridgeshire Police from 2004 to 2010. She was the first female Chief Constable in Cambridgeshire and was also the first woman to lead a UK police force. Spence joined the police in 1978 and rose through the ranks, having worked in various police forces across the country. During her tenure as Chief Constable, she led a number of initiatives to improve collaboration between police forces and reduce crime in the region. She was awarded the Queen's Police Medal in 2006 and later served as a non-executive director for the Home Office.
